Physicians Regional Medical Center - Pine Ridge Awarded Center of Excellence Designation in Multiple Surgical Areas

Naples, FL – January 25, 2025 – Physicians Regional Medical Center - Pine Ridge recently achieved multi-accreditation from Surgical Review Corporation, a nonprofit, patient safety organization dedicated to recognizing and refining surgical care.

The Pine Ridge campus was honored as a Center of Excellence in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, as well as urology and colorectal surgery. These accreditations recognize Physicians Regional’s commitment to meeting nationally recognized standards, delivering quality care and focusing on patient safety.

Healthcare facilities and surgeons seeking SRC accreditations undergo an extensive assessment and inspection process to ensure the applicant meets SRC’s proven standards and requirements, which center around surgical volumes, facility equipment, clinical pathways and standardized operating procedures. There’s also an emphasis on patient education and continuous quality assessment.

In addition to the Center of Excellence accreditations, Surgeon of Excellence accreditations have been awarded to General Surgeon Jonas Mansson, M.D., Urologist Alexandre Rosen, M.D., and Colorectal Surgeon Susan Cera, M.D., in their respective fields.
