Karl Leistikow to Join the Leadership Team at Physicians Regional as the New CEO for Collier Boulevard

Naples, Florida – April 22, 2024 – Physicians Regional Healthcare System has named Karl Leistikow as the new chief executive fficer of its Collier Boulevard campus, effective April 22nd.
Leistikow brings more than 16 years of healthcare leadership experience to this role. He is focused on customer service, strategic initiatives, and quality, as well as building collaborative relationships with physicians and employees.

Leistikow joins Scott Lowe, Physicians Regional Healthcare System’s market CEO, in developing strategic initiatives for the Collier campus.
Lowe stated, “Given the rapid growth of the East Naples area, we are naming an executive leader for our Collier Boulevard campus to help us continue to grow and maintain our high quality metrics as an organization. Karl brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the market and we are excited to have his focus on operating our Collier Boulevard campus.”
Leistikow comes to Physicians Regional Healthcare System from Swedish Medical Center, HCA Healthcare in Englewood Colorado, where he has served as the chief operating officer since 2019.
Prior to joining Swedish Medical Center, Leistikow was the chief operating officer of Summerville Medical Center, HCA Healthcare – Summerville, SC; vice president of operations of Trident Medical Center, HCA Healthcare; and division director of project management at HCA Healthcare, South Atlantic Division. His development and operational experience includes leading and overseeing significant growth and expansion initiatives, including new patient towers, surgical services, cath lab, imaging capabilities, and the ED.
Additionally he oversaw the development of inpatient rehab, Level 1 trauma and burn programs, a comprehensive stroke program, a cancer pavilion, and the most extensive robotics program in the Great Rocky Mountain Region.
He received Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Alabama (Birmingham) and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Ripon College.
